Country Editor for Nepal, Prakriti Malla, an Advocate and a Legal Scholar. She is pursuing her Master’s degree (LLM) in International Law at South Asian University (established by 8 members of SAARC regional grouping), New Delhi as Presidential Scholarship holder.
She is the first lady advocate of her district. She has experience of working, as Program Coordinator, at Light House Foundation Nepal (NGO that is working for the rehabilitation of children who are subjected to forced prostitution and trafficking) and legal associate at Suprabhat Law Firm. Also she has worked as Youth Campaigner in the Project titled “Good Governance and Democracy” launched by Association of Youth Organization Nepal in collaboration with IFES and USAid. Additionally she has had experience of working with Nepal Law Commission (statutory body working for the codification and development of Nepalese Legal System) as a legal intern.
She has been honored by several awards for her academic excellence and professional credibility. She secured the position of 3rd Runner Up in 26th National Advocate License Examination 2019. She has also been acknowledged as one of the most Inspirational Women of her district on the occasion of National Women’s Day 2019, by Rolpa district authorities, for all her achievement and struggle.
At last but not the least, her invaluable scholarly insight and professional assistance, throughout the process of the making of Global Youth Parliament is of worth mentioning amongst her several landmark footsteps that she has put on in bringing the change that the world is striving for at large.
